he wrote it about Marilyn Monroe in 1973. Not about Diana. So to say he wrote it for his own financial gain regarding Diana, is just wrong!

I hate to say but I disagreed with this song. Elton was meant to make this song in the living memory of HRH Princess Diana our beautiful Welsh princess. But deep down I believe that he made it for his own financial gain. A comment which I no will not be like because of his popularity but a comment which I can't stop thinking about. Diana really gave so much joy to the world and will always be remembered. Why should anyone be allowed to profit from her death?
